In partnership with artists, creators, and the upcycle community, invites consumers to join the movement by sharing how they give items a second life. This inspiring campaign is celebrated by a network of over 2,500 Goodwill stores nationwide, inspiring millions of individuals to become sustainable shoppers. As part of the initiative, the remarkable teenage artist Clara Woods has been named the first #CreateOpportunity ambassador, highlighting the transformative power of online sustainable shopping and consumerism.


Clara Woods, a 17-year-old artist who has defied all odds, is set to revolutionize the modern art scene as the first ambassador of the #CreateOpportunity initiative by®. Clara's journey as an artist has been shaped by her experience with a perinatal stroke and extensive brain damage. Despite these challenges, she has embraced her unique perspective and found solace in art.

Clara firmly believes that her brain damage has allowed her to see the world in a different way. "I'm not my disability, but my disability is part of who I am," she says. "My art comes from my heart; it is the only place where I can be 100% myself!" Her journey as an artist has been characterized by a deep connection between her heart, her creativity, and her ability to communicate with others.

Despite facing difficulties with reading, writing, and speaking, Clara has found innovative ways to express herself and connect with her audience on platforms like TikTok and Instagram. With the support of her family, Clara manages her content and engages with her community. Her mother assists in translating her thoughts into written content, which Clara reviews and approves. Using an app to record her voice, Clara brings her own words to life in videos, interpreting her own messages. Additionally, she leverages her phone's capabilities to read text messages, notes, and articles, enabling her active participation online.




Clara's unique approach to content creation has garnered an impressive following of over 400,000 people on TikTok and Instagram. Her audience appreciates her authenticity and admires her ability to overcome obstacles. She receives messages of support and love, which alleviate feelings of loneliness and provide a sense of acceptance.

Being chosen as the first #CreateOpportunity ambassador holds deep meaning for Clara. "I'm so happy to be an ambassador for," she exclaims. "For me, this collaboration is all about inclusion. I feel included, I feel part of something bigger than myself." Clara sees her ambassadorship as an opportunity to share her story, demonstrating that adversity and pain can be transformed into opportunities and dreams can become a reality.
